Apotheosis is a modern compendium of deities. Drawing inspiration from the “Classic of Mountains and Seas," it derives divine and mystical characters and narratives through a creative process rooted in the functionalities and evolutionary changes of modern communication devices. The phenomenon of deification and worship of these devices stems from the inner unease of individuals and their cravings. As civilization advances, people's desire for communication and technology has become as significant as their desire for life itself. Modern individuals devote their time and energy to their communication devices, endowing them with god-like powers, nurturing their dominion over the human psyche, and fulfilling human desires. Apotheosis is divided into seven sections, each representing different communication deities, accompanied by their respective illustration images and ancient anecdotes.
