OBRA issue 4 - Ibidem is a collaboration with artistic duo ASMA. This hybrid between a magazine and an artist book presents four exhibition booklets alongside 19 pieces of unbound ephemera. This edition offers an exploration of ASMA’s research process, featuring fragmented citations alongside imagery from their recent exhibitions: Wander & Pursuit (2022), Inverse Sátiro Envy (2023), Blind Sun Rests in Desire (2023), and Ideal Space for Music (2024). Plus a text by Reilly Davidson.
ASMA is an artist duo formed by Matias Armendaris (b. 1990, Ecuador) and Hanya Beliá (b. 1994, Mexico). They live and work in Mexico City.
OBRA is an annual magazine—an archive of visual expressions generating a record of young and established practices from Latin America and the world through the printed format. Founded and established in Basel, Switzerland, and distributed globally.
