Fiori blu (rhizome books n.1) collects a series of blue flowers drawn by Tommaso Pandolfi. The flowers belong to no recognisable species and come from no botanical observation: they are primary forms, repeated hundreds of times, sometimes clearly outlined, sometimes blurred to the edge of illegibility. The repetition is the subject. Rather than refining a single image or building a taxonomy of its variants, Pandolfi stays inside the same image and returns to it until the repetition itself produces the deviation — the hundredth flower does not correct the first, and the thousandth resolves nothing. Printed images alternate with blank pages, which work as pauses in the sequence, and the book includes a text by Matteo Binci alongside passages by Georgia O'Keeffe and Novalis.
