Artificial intelligence and its impact on human life and society
With works by James Bridle, Mario Klingemann, Trevor Paglen, Lauren McCarthy et al.
This publication highlights the topical subject of artificial intelligence (AI). Man is involved in constant dialogue with machines, so it is decisive that we understand the conditions of this coexistence. A particular focus is on the reality-forming effects of AI and its use as an artistic tool for creating new and unanticipated pictorial worlds and artefacts. Through the interaction with intelligent algorithmic systems and the empowerment that we human being are already signing over to machines in various processes and realms of life, new intertwined realities are emerging. By means of artworks and texts, this publication indicates how algorithmic networks “see” the world and also create worlds.
