Irana Douer

Regular price $22.00 Sale

In these drawings, Irana Douer illustrates the fascinating process of insects and snakes shedding their skin, known as ecdysis (in spanish “Ecdisis”). Just like how these creatures discard their old exoskeleton or skin to reveal a fresh, new one underneath, it can be compared to the human experience of growth, renewal, and transformation. Much like how casting off skin allows insects and snakes to grow, adapt, and thrive, humans also undergo periods of change and renewal throughout their lives, shedding old habits, beliefs, and perspectives to make way for new experiences and personal growth.
