With approximately 400 million electric scooters in China, they provide an essential, energy-efficient, and accessible form of transportation in a densely populated country. "Safe Travels!" is a book that compiles images shared on official police social media in Jining, exposing individuals riding scooters without helmets. Yinan Lin curated the photos to explore the intersection of government surveillance and daily life. In the book, Lin adopts the role of a mock police officer, assigning each individual a "sin" that ranges from the serious to the absurd.
