Book Info

In “Waterfall Hotel”, faint clues lead readers on a journey between reality and illusion, beginning from a hotel built in the 90s of the last century in deep mountain. The unknown present moments are mixed with the past memories and experience. The “beasts” in gaps appear gradually clear beyond the images. Every page of the book is like a slice of time. It forms a whole with flowing structure through folding/expanding, covering/separating, stitching/cutting. From “direct” photography, to photos adding fictional elements, and to 3D modeling and animation using photo as materials, what this book presents is not one series of her works, but a new works produced by grabbing and selecting from her complex images. The process is following roads hidden behind her creations all the time. Like “waterfall” in the title, the images naturally flow and tilt to form narratives, to form cliffs and shoals.
