About Ballew
Founded in 2024, Ballew is a design studio and store based in Brooklyn, New York. Our work is centered around unisex design, with garments made to move across bodies rather than toward fixed categories or constrained identities. Each piece is developed through a process shaped by automatism — an approach that values instinct, repetition, and discovery over linear planning.
Designs begin with the material and are recorded and reworked until structure and a sense of completeness are found. This process, influenced by Surrealist methodology, opens up unexpected forms and keeps our collections in a state of change and exploration.
