About the designer:
Ukrainian fashion designer Anton Belinskiy launched his namesake label in 2009, shortly after graduating from the Taras Shevchenko Republic Art School followed by the Fashion Institute of Technology. In 2015, he was shortlisted for an LVMH prize and further cemented his reputation when he founded the One Day Project in Kiev, a mini fashion week for cutting-edge local designers in honor of the 25th anniversary of Ukraine’s independence. Closely tied to his roots, Belinskiy references his native country’s political landscape across his ready-to-wear collections, while also deriving inspiration from day-to-day life. Men’s streetwear essentials featuring the country’s national colors include t-shirts, shorts, track jackets, and hoodies adorned with nationalist symbols like ID patches, passports, orange marigolds, and the Ukrainian flag. Subtle allusions to post-Soviet attitudes are expressed through deconstructed button-downs, leather jackets and blazers in a diverse blend of natural fabrics and textiles, completing Belinskiy’s eclectic menswear collection.
