TIP-TAP-TOE, participatory performance by Su Ji | March 15, 2026, 1-6 PM

Tip-Tap-Toe is the first participatory performance by Su Ji, inviting the visitors to Bungee Space this Sunday (3/15) 1-6pm to follow a series of floor-based scores that propose alternative ways of navigating a given space. One usually moves with a simple goal in mind—getting from one point to another. Rarely are we conscious of the trajectory of our movement, the distance between each step, or the subtle weight shifts that bring us forward.

Inspired by the striking imagery of dance notation as footprint diagrams, this project presents a sequence of visual cues that ranges from tiptoes to puzzling choreographic patterns. Habitual gestures are abstracted into sets of instructions. As participants run into these cues, attention shifts to the very act of motion and is translated into a conscious act of performance. The scores are not limited to dance. Some are cognitive puzzles, exercises, patternless fidgets, and perhaps a breakdance.

The floor is yours. Bring a friend and take a step or two. No dance experience required.

*The Sunday event will be recorded for artistic and archival purposes. By attending, you acknowledge that photography and video recording may take place. If you prefer not to be recorded, please let us know in advance.
