In Nov 2023, Keiko Taniguchi Was here every Thursday to calm your DEAD Thursday mornings at Bungee Space. She curated a range of ceremonial grade matcha, changed with seasons. This popup improves the tea ceremony experience with a user-friendly guide, inspired by the accessible picture-story show from Keiko's childhood. It aims to create a more welcoming performance, allowing the audience to better enjoy and focus on the matcha and the overall performance. Keiko Taniguchi, a Urasenke tea ceremony practitioner since 2016, is a bridge between tea cultures and art. Her accessible tea performances are inspired by childhood memories, summer festivals, and community events. Upon relocating to the United States in 2019, she launched "Matcha Thursday" at Bungee Space, nurturing a vibrant artist community. More events to come, stay tuned.
